The following lists Porsche maintenance schedules. The information applies to the 986 Boxster, but should apply to many other Porsche models as well. Some recommendations are open to interpretation. For example, I feel the 15k mile interval between oil changes is far too long.
Maintenance Tasks
Every 15,000 miles or 24,000 km
- Change the oil
- Replace the microfilter (cabin air filter)
- Read faults with a code reader
- Inspect underneath car for oil leaks
- Check power steering fluid level
- Check antifreeze coolant level, radiator hoses and front radiators
- Check brake fluid level
- Check brake lines for leaks
- Check CV joint boots for cracks
- Check tires and tire pressure (don't forget the spare)
- Check headlights, taillights, etc.
- Check windshield washer fluid levels
Every 30,000 miles or 48,000 km
In addition to the items above, you should inspect the following maintenance items:
- Replace air filter
- Replace the spark plugs (for 1997-2000 models)
- Check the drive belt
- Check fuel lines for damage
- Inspect brake pads and rotors for wear
- Check parking brake
- Check clutch operation
- Inspect tie rods and rubber boots
- Check exhaust for leaks or damage
Every 60,000 miles or 96,000 km
- Replace the Engine drive belt
- Replace the fuel filter
- Replace Spark Plugs (For 2001-2004 models)
Every 90,000 miles or 144,000 km
- Replace the transmission fluid (auto and manual transmissions)
- Replace differential oil
Every Year
- Clean water drains
- Read faults with a code reader
- Inspect underneath car for oil leaks
- Check power steering fluid level
- Check antifreeze coolant level, radiator hoses and front radiators
- Check brake fluid level
- Check brake lines for leaks
- Check CV joint boots for cracks
- Check tires and tire pressure (don't forget the spare)
- Check headlights, taillights, etc.

Every 2 Years
- Replace the brake fluid
