After heating the intermediate shaft and keeping the IMS bearing in the freezer, I used a bearing and race driver to tap the bearing into place. Buy or rent a kit like the following:
The hole in the center of the driver fits over the center bolt as you install it, but this prevents you from using the included handle to drive in the bearing. Instead, used a 1 inch to 1-1/2 inch PVC pipe as shown in the video below:
